Acoustic Removal
Customer Prep
All breakables, glass, collectibles, trophies, lamps, free standing photos, etc need to be removed from the rooms as well as anything within 8” from the ceilings (i.e. curtains, shelves).
Anything that may be knocked over or break during the process should be removed. Large furniture should stay to the wall.
If you are having your closets scraped, we ask that you remove sliding closet doors, and any items from the top shelf, as well as any nice suits, dresses, jackets, etc.
Please keep in mind during the whole process, you will not have access to the work areas, as they will be contained by plastic.
In order avoid any delays, we ask that all customer prep be completed before the crew arrives.
Setup
The first and most important steps include fully containing the work area, by masking off your ceilings and hanging plastic sheeting to protect your walls, furniture and floors.
Removal
During the removal process, the ceiling is wet for a dust free process. Next, we scrape the acoustic (a.k.a. popcorn) from the ceilings using Sprays N Things custom developed tools.
Repair
Once the acoustic (a.k.a. popcorn) is completely removed from the ceiling, the ceiling will require fixing of minor imperfections with drywall compound.
Texture
Sprays N Things offers a variety of custom textures which will be applied to your newly scraped and repaired ceilings, to provide an up to date and modern appearance.
Cleanup
All plastic and preparation materials are carefully removed, and the acoustic is bagged up. Ceilings and texture will require 24-48 hours to completely dry before applying paint or primer.
